When life happens are you prepared?

You never know when you will get that “call” that changes your life in an instance.  I remember what it was like when my doctor called and told me he needed to see me (and we know that it is never good when you have to go back into the office.) When I arrived at the office my Doctor brought me into his office and advised me that I had carcinoma in situ stage 3, having had so many issue with my reproductive system  the word carcinoma didn’t sink in. I thought okay so now what do we do? Timelines and procedures where put in place and while the “cancer” had not spread my diagnosis was changing day by day until I finally had to give up my hope of having any more children.  During this time my emotions were up and down, trying to find the opportunity in this obstacle was to say the least, one of my most challenging to this day. I was not prepared to have an only child nor was my daughter as she was always asking when she would have a little brother or sister.

I wasn’t prepared at that time, Alternative medicines and modalities were never discussed with me, even today so many individuals are not aware of the different modalities that are available for us.  This is not to say that seeing a physician for your illness isn’t necessary it is, however, for additional healing alternatives it would have been encouraging to be advised of modalities that could have enriched my healing experience.

Because of what I have been through, I have studied with the greatest teachers, mentors, in alternative modalities and use techniques that enhance our well being and healing.

I believe in the power of our minds, the emotions behind our thoughts determine the speed at which we are able to manifest what we want.  If you truly want something, it will come to you so much faster if you are  excited about it, see it, feel it, than if you are lukewarm about wanting it.  Your thoughts become things you must choose the good ones.  Make it so real in your imagination you can touch it and see it happening.

Are you stuck? Do you want to change a limiting belief? Are you ready for change? If so call for your free consultation today (303-919-8840) and begin to live the life of your dreams.

ARE YOU READY TO FEEL BETTER AND ENJOY THE BEAUTY AROUND YOU?

These are stressful times with many individuals feeling anxious and stressed. Besides all your stresses, you may also have a health concern, such as IBS, migraines, insomnia, depression, or back pain, or even a more serious challenge such as cancer, diabetes, or heart disease. But you don’t have to suffer.

Reiki is a healing practice that promotes balance in mind, body, and spirit.  And Reiki is safe; it’s a painless, non-invasive practice that doesn’t interfere with any medical treatment or drug regime prescribed by your doctor.

In my experience, everyone can benefit from Reiki.  Reiki doesn’t address symptoms or diseases; it simply balances your system.  I have worked with individuals that are dying, suffering with pain, insomnia, depression, as well as people who are healthy and want to maintain their health.

Don’t be pushed by your problems. Be led by your dreams. Author unknown

When you have the desire to dream big anything is possible, by taking action on your dream it is one of the greatest opportunities you have today that allows you to take control of your life.

The average human being generates approx 60,000 thoughts per day.  It is a vibration force that is quite literally attracting things to you.
Do you believe that a thought leads to a feeling?  That the feeling leads to an action? That the action leads to a result? I do!   Everything in our world began with a thought, someone who believed that anything was possible and achieved his or her dream.  So why is that some do and some don’t achieve their dreams?  The power of thoughts and beliefs are why some do and some don’t.  The “Secret” is a powerful movie that explains the “Law of Attraction” if you have not seen this I recommend that you watch it.

There will always be individuals that are never happy and don’t believe that by changing their thoughts they can change their world, don’t surround yourself with these types of people surround yourself with positive, successful people and begin your journey to fulfilling your dream.

Hold he intention that your dream will happen and watch it happen.

I am accepting new clients on Fridays and Saturdays and look forward to assisting you on your journey.

The first day of the rest of your life.

The old saying that today is the first day of the rest of your life has really hit home for many.  How will you handle the difficult situations that come up?  It is so easy to play the blame game, why me, what did I do, etc.  The thing is ~ life just sometimes happens and you have to pick yourself up and find the opportunity in the obstacles “I know much easier said than done.”

Because change is difficult in whatever situation you are in; we become creatures of habit finding comfort in staying where we are even if it is not where we really want to be. Change has an incredible opportunity to open new doors for you.  Think about it you lost your job okay you were looking for a job when you found that one, so you look again knowing that something better is around the corner. (Thoughts become things choose the good ones) tell yourself that a better opportunity is waiting for you.   You loose your home because of finances, or bank error, whatever, this is a great opportunity to reorganize and re-exam “what are your priorities?”  Again, all of this is easier said than done however when you are faced with a similar situation you have to pick yourself up and begin your journey one step at a time.  Stay positive, surround yourself with positive individuals, and know that this too shall pass.

I offer free workshops on how to get out of the “rut” watch my website for upcoming dates and times.

May today there be peace within. May you trust that you are exactly where you are meant to be. May you not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith. May you use those gifts that you have received, and pass on the love that has been given to you. St. Theresa

Reiki in Hospitals

Complementary Health Care

Did you know that the general public is exploring complementary health care, including Reiki.  A study conducted by David M Eisenberg, M.D.  of Boston Beth Israel Hospital found that one in three Americans has used "alternative health care" spending over 14 billion in out-of pocket dollars. Hospitals across the country are incorporating this into their patient services.

How Does Reiki Work?
Reiki heals by flowing through the affected parts of the energy field and charging them with positive energy. It raises the vibratory level of the energy field in and around the physical body where the negative thoughts and feelings are attached. This causes the negative energy to break apart and fall away. In so doing, Reiki clears, straightens and heals the energy pathways, thus allowing the life force to flow in a healthy and natural way.

What Can Be Treated?
Reiki is both powerful and gentle. In its long history of use it has aided in healing virtually every known illness and injury including serious problems like: multiple sclerosis, heart disease, and cancer as well as skin problems, cuts, bruises, broken bones, headache, colds, flu, sore throat, sunburn, fatigue, insomnia, impotence, poor memory, lack of confidence, etc. It is always beneficial and works to improve the effectiveness of all other types of therapy. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance and has many benefits for both client and practitioner, including altered states of consciousness and spiritual experiences. If a client has a health condition, and wants to be treated with Reiki, it is recommended that they do so under the supervision of an enlightened medical doctor or other health care professional. Reiki will improve the results of all medical treatment, acting to reduce negative side effects, shorten healing time, reduce or eliminate pain, reduce stress, and help create optimism.

What is a Session like?
During a session, the patient remains clothed and the practitioner’s hands are placed near or lightly touching various parts of the body, including areas around the head, shoulders, stomach, legs, and feet. Most patients report feelings of relaxation; warmth, tingling and patients often fall asleep during a session. Sessions can last from ten minutes to more than an hour, depending upon available time.

Leader of the Pack!!!

Wags and her brother Menace created the Wags & Menace Make a Difference Foundation in 1996. With the help of their owner, Cindy Lee, they raised money and awareness for three animal shelters and an animal hospital to help homeless animals to get well and get adopted. They also welcomed numerous homeless animals to stay overnight with them so Cindy Lee could present them on Petline 9. Every animal presented during the past eight years has been adopted.
Wags and Menace - and Cindy - were the very first “Leaders of the of the Pack” at the 2000 Furry Scurry, benefiting the Denver Dumb Friends League. They became the first ever back-to-back “Leaders of the Pack,” raising $14,000 in 2006 to lead the Furry Scurry in 2007, and raising over $35,000 in 2007 to lead the race in 2008. Cindy is now one of the top individual fundraisers in the nation for a single event. Additionally, they raised over $5,000 in 2006 and lead the Wag’N Trail in 2007, benefiting the Buddy Center in Castle Rock. This is the first time Denver Dumb Friends League has ever had the same person lead both races. Wags & Menace even created and sold their own calendar and raised over $6,000 that was donated to Denver Dumb Friends League as a memorial to Nick Petry, Cindy Lee’s godfather.
Wags became a Certified Therapy Dog, visiting hospitals, schools and libraries. She developed her own fan club, full of people who felt better at the hospital or nursing home because of her visit, children learning more about animals in classrooms and libraries, and challenged children who became interested in reading because Wags was there to encourage them. In December, 2006 Channel 9 aired a story about Wags & Cindy, highlighting the therapy dog whose therapy sessions became therapy for herself.
Wags and Menace participated for many years in the Mutts & Models Fashion Show, benefiting Harrison Memorial Animal Hospital, and have sponsored an exam room there for many years. In 2000, Cindy Lee inspired and helped create the Pets & Vets program. To date, over 1,000 Girl Scouts have completed the one-day program, learning from Cindy and others about furry first aid, veterinary careers, animal awareness and education, and earning a pet merit badge in the process.
Cindy and Wags & Menace volunteered for over 11 years at Good Samaritan Pet Center, becoming involved in many fundraising events and raising money to provide medical care for many foster animals.
Wags eventually developed lymphoid cancer, endured months of treatment, and succumbed in January 2006. She helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars over her 11-year lifetime to help animals, and is sorely missed by all who knew her. Wags truly made a difference for children, including hundreds of special needs kids.
In 2006, Cindy Lee adopted Baxter, a Newfoundland/Border Collie mix. Sadly, Baxter only had six months to learn the ropes of the foundation from Menace, who passed away later that year. When Cindy and Baxter met, he was six months old and weighed only 24 pounds, having suffered severely from previous cruelty and abuse. As new CEO of the Foundation, Baxter is happy, healthy, and on his way to certification as a Therapy Dog. He will continue the legacy of service begun by Wags & Menace.
Cindy Lee has been an animal lover her whole life. Born and raised in Connecticut, she moved west, attended and graduated from the University of Denver, and has been here ever since. In 1996 Cindy began volunteering with Denver Dumb Friends League, Table Mountain Animal Center, Harrison Memorial Animal Hospital and Good Samaritan Pet Center, and has wholeheartedly supported Wags & Menace, Baxter, and their Make a Difference Foundation ever since. Inspired by her rescued dogs, her dynamic enthusiasm has brought hundreds of others into their efforts to help animals here in Colorado.
