What you think about

“It isn’t what you have, or who you are, or where you are, or what you are doing that makes you happy or unhappy.  It is what you think about.”  Dale Carnegie

Your mind can be your worst enemy.  You may be one of many individuals that dwell on the things you cannot change, such as making someone love you, hire you, accept you or even acknowledge your worth.  When these things happen you begin to dwell on the what if’s, what if I had done this, maybe if I had done this, what if I had just said yes, etc. etc.

Instead of thinking you don’t have money for rent and getting stressed change your thoughts to when my rent is due I will find the resources necessary to pay my rent and then let go and let GOD” as you begin to believe it you will soon achieve it!   The wonderful world of “Law of Repetitive Effect:” The more often a person is exposed to a specific input, the more likely it is to be accepted and acted upon by the subconscious. With enough repetition your thoughts become subconscious one, which generates repetitive images, feelings, and action, which equal Mind-body habit. Your thoughts become things choose the good ones.

A great friend recently posted “Note to God in her blog http://unseen-child.blogspot.com and the following verse speaks volumes “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6—7)

Great Article ENJOY!

God is working, regardless of how you feel
by Rick Warren

That is why we must hold on all the more firmly to the truths we have heard, so that we will not be carried away. (Hebrews 2:1 TEV)
As you grow to spiritual maturity, there are several ways to cooperate with God in the process -
Believe God is working in your life even when you don't feel it. Spiritual growth is sometimes tedious work, one small step at a time. Expect gradual improvement. The Bible says, "Everything on earth has its own time and its own season." (Ecclesiastes 3:1 CEV)

There are seasons in your spiritual life, too. Sometimes you will have a short, intense burst of growth (springtime) followed by a period of stabilizing and testing (fall and winter).

What about those problems, habits, and hurts you would like miraculously removed? It's fine to pray for a miracle, but don't be disappointed if the answer comes through a gradual change. Over time, a slow, steady stream of water will erode the hardest rock and turn giant boulders into pebbles. Over time, a little sprout can turn into a giant redwood tree towering 350 feet tall.

Keep a notebook or journal of lessons learned. This is not a diary of events, but a record of what you are learning. Write down the insights and life lessons God teaches you about him, about yourself, about life, relationships, and everything else. Record these so you can review and remember them and pass them on to the next generation (Psalm 102:18; 2 Timothy 3:14)

The reason we must relearn lessons is that we forget them. Reviewing your spiritual journal regularly can spare you a lot of unnecessary pain and heartache. The Bible says, "It's crucial that we keep a firm grip on what we've heard so that we don't drift off." (Hebrews 2:1 Msg)

Aim High

Our hearts express who we really are, not what other people think we are, or what your circumstances force you to be.  Our thoughts have created what is in our heart, determining the things we do, the way we feel, and why we act the way we do.  Our heart is our unique “fingerprint” that is ours alone.  Growing up we discovered the things we liked and disliked.  For some over time we allowed people in our lives to influence our decisions and possibly prevent us from pursuing our hearts desire.

As Michelangelo quotes “The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low an we reach it.”

The world around us is filled with worry, anger, disappointment, and uncertainty concerning our  “economic” situation mainly due to the fact that the Media is always talking about this, painting a picture of economic crisis.  While the unemployment rates has increased to approximately 9.7% and companies are downsizing, re-organizing, and increasing job responsibilities to those that were “left behind” those of you who have been displaced have the opportunity to aim high and reach for it!  I am a true believer that nothing happens by accident, however, how we handle what happens is in our complete control, we can sulk, complain, drown in our sorrow or we can find the opportunity in the obstacle and beginning living our dream.

Change your limiting beliefs through Hypnosis or NLP and begin to aim high.

What is at the top of your mountain?

When bad things happen to good people:

I can remember so many times thinking if it wasn’t for bad luck I wouldn’t have any luck at all!  I may have been joking however, my thoughts were becoming things.  I was encountering bad luck more frequently than I ever had and it just seemed that bad things were happening on a regular basis.  When a very close friend who is also a NLP practitioner and Clinical Hypnotherapist heard me talking like this his response was “Hello you know better!” Joke or no Joke bad luck was happening and I was responsible because as I tell all my clients thoughts become things choose the good ones! My thoughts now are all about good luck and what a difference one word makes.

Sometimes though bad things just happen that you have no control over, your company has downsized and your out of a job, or maybe you were fired unjustly, your spouse left you, you lost your home, you counted on someone to follow through and they let you down it could be a number of things.  When we are faced with these obstacles it is how we handle them that speak to our character.  The first question you need to ask is what is the opportunity in this obstacle?  The saying that God never gives us more than we can handle always pops in my head and I think “Really” there is an opportunity in this obstacle?  There always is it may not be what you want it to be but it is exactly what it is supposed to be.  It is a journey that we decide how it will end we can see the cup half full or half empty it is our choice.

Bad things will happen ~ just remember this too shall pass and remember to ask yourself what is the opportunity in this obstacle.

NLP and Hypnosis are great tools to change your thoughts and start you on a path to achieving great successes.

If the shoe fits wear it?

I used to hear this so much growing up and never really understood why it was such a common phrase.  Was it because so many people believed that if it did fit that was enough it didn’t need to be comfortable, look good, it just needed to fit and you needed to be grateful that you had shoes?  Yes, families were financially challenged and you had to have shoes and those memories of my mother always asking does it fit?  I would try on shoe after shoe waiting for the “shoe to fit” fortunately for me I would also be thinking that the most beautiful shoe was going to be mine, I had such determination in my mind and heart that I was going to have the best shoe possible for me and I always seemed to be blessed with receiving those things that I really wanted.

Before I really knew what the power of the mind could achieve I was experiencing this joy.  Challenges have always been a part of my life and at a very early age I had a wonderful older women come into my life and share with me that if I didn’t get what I wanted the first time in life it was because God had something better for me and that no door closes without another door opening.  Those words changed my life because I knew from that moment on nothing was impossible and if I didn’t get what I wanted at first I was going to have something so much greater that it was a win/win situation for me.

Your mind is so powerful that your thoughts are always determining what you receive if you are thinking negatively more than likely you are always stressed, worried, tired, sad and the things you want seem so unreachable. However, when you change your thoughts and replace them with everything that is positive wonderful things begin to change within you, you are happy, fulfilled, excited and enjoy each day and dreams become reality.

NLP and Hypnosis are wonderful resources for you to change your limiting beliefs and achieve your dreams.

So like the picture above ~ Leave room to grow!

To The End of Another Year!

As you reach the end of 2009 what have you learned?  Have you found the opportunity in every challenge? Have you loved often and laughed always? Are you excited about what the New Year has to offer?

Some say when the New Year comes around I am going to loose weight, stop smoking, go back to school, spend more time with family the list is endless.  I say start NOW don’t put off to tomorrow what you can do TODAY.

Changing your limiting beliefs is one of the most powerful things you can do.  Your limiting beliefs will sabotage almost any endeavor you attempt.  Your thoughts become things so you need to choose the good ones, consider the patients who heal from cancer they believed they would heal. You have to be aware of your thoughts at all times because they determine how you day is going, you may be watching sports on television upset that your team is losing you have all that negative energy  “because a team is losing?” You need to change those thoughts to positive thoughts.

Start now knowing that you respond internally to what you see, hear, and feel, it makes sense to have your internal images match what you want to have.  If you want to be a slim, healthy person you have to have an internal image that represent that outcome. Hypnosis and NLP help you to change your limiting beliefs so you can reach your maximum potential.

To a great tomorrow!
