So many individuals have asked what Kairos means ~ below is the Cliffs notes Version from my daughters blog:

Kairos is a time, not measured by the clock, where God has chosen “the right moment” or the “opportune” time. Its the time when your old comfort zone, your old ideas, your old relationships, your old images of God, and your old ways of thinking are shaken up. Everything is turned upside down. The “old” does not work anymore. You enter a crisis, an opportunity, to forge new ideas, new relationships, new images of God, new ways to think about old ideas. You build a new comfort zone.

To great new beginnings!

Procrastination what it costs?

Proverbs 15:19 (LB) A lazy person has trouble all through life.

"Procrastination takes a problem and makes it a crisis. The longer you wait to start, the harder it becomes to begin."

There was a time that I would put things off until tomorrow then tomorrow would come and I would do the same thing over again.  The fear of facing it was harder than doing it!  Many people may say that it was laziness it wasn’t it was fear of failure. While I believe we never really “fail” we just haven’t found the correct way to get it done.  We still have to take that first step to success and for many that is what keeps us from getting it done “procrastination” fear of facing the possibilities.

So how to we go from dreaming to doing  ~ one step at a time.

We started out not being able to walk, we first crawled (except for a few over achievers who went straight to walking) then we took baby steps, stumbled got back up and did it over and over until we mastered the art of walking.  We never gave up we just keep at it, no fear just determination.  When we are able let go of our limiting beliefs new possibilities are endless.

Start making progress

The opportunities you have are too beautiful and too valuable for you to let them pass you by. Stop making excuses and start making progress.
What you imagine, you can begin. What you begin, you can finish.

It's all a matter of choosing to get it done. That's a choice you can make in any and every moment.

Sure, there are challenges and yes, you'll have to step outside your comfort zone to make the necessary efforts. The great thing is, you're fully capable of doing whatever it takes.

You can, if you will. You will, when you make it meaningful enough.

There's great value to be found as you make your way through this day. Seize the opportunity, make the necessary effort, and bring that value to life in your world.

I couldn't say it better ~ Enjoy

Influential thoughts
by Rick Warren
Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts. Proverbs 4:23 (GNT)
The Bible says our thoughts influence our lives. For instance --

My interpretation influences my situation -- It's not what happens to me that matters as much as how I choose to see it. The way I react will determine whether the circumstance makes me better or bitter. I can view everything as an obstacle or an opportunity for growth - a stumbling block or a stepping stone.

My beliefs influence my behavior -- We always act according to our beliefs, even when those ideas are false. For instance, as a child, if you believed a shadow in your bedroom at night was a monster, your body reacted in fear (adrenaline and jitters) even though it wasn't true. That's why it's so important to make sure you are operating on true information! Your convictions about yourself, about life, and about God influence your conduct.

My self-talk influences my self-esteem - We constantly talk to ourselves. Do you run yourself down with your self-talk? Stop doing that: "As he thinks in his heart, so is he" (Proverbs 23:7 NKJV).

When Change Happens

When change happens in our lives we realize that we are not limited by our past but pushed forward to our future.  When you have finally said “Enough” and realize that is not what happens to you, it is what you do about it.

You have taken responsibility for your actions and are no longer a victim of your circumstances.  You are becoming the person you are meant to be.

Remember however, when you test your strengh/spirt as you grow, there will be times when you are on top of the world and someone or something from your past enters and reminds you of who you were. Thank them and tell them you are no longer this person and if they would like to get to know this new you they are welcome to, they just have to let go of the past. This is where you need to realize that the someone or something may continue to be a negative part of your life and you have to choose if you want a “dream stealer” in your life.  Remember that their negative talk says more about them then you.   It takes strength to let go of your “old story” and write a new one, letting go of the past may also mean letting go of old friends.  As you move forward surround yourself with like minded individuals that share your dreams, support you, encourage you, see the cup half full not have empty.

When you surround yourself with positive energy it is really hard to be negative it just won’t fit.  On the other hand surround yourself with negativity and it won’t be long until you are feeling the effects of this energy.

I challenge you to be the change you want the world to see!

GO FOR IT!

Don't act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. Ephesians 5:17 (NLT)
"Here's the key: God's will for your life begins with a friendship. "
Every day I talk to people who say, "If there is a God and he allowed me to be born and I'm still alive, what is his plan for me?"
"Why am I here and what am I supposed to be doing? How do I find out God's will for me so I don't waste my life?"
The Bible says this: "So be careful how you live. Don't live like ignorant people, but like wise people. Make good use of every opportunity you have, because these are evil days. Don't be fools, then, but try to find out what the Lord wants you to do." (Ephesians 5:15-17 TEV)
It's wise to figure out why I was put on earth. It's foolish to go through life without a clue. Fortunately, God doesn't play games with us. He wants us to understand his will for our lives. When we look toward the wrong things, we create barriers to discovering God's will. For instance:
God's will is not about a feeling. God's plan for your life is not discovered through some emotional sensation. His plan for your life is practical, not mystical.
God's will is not about a formula. God's will is not some step-by-step procedure that you rigidly follow through life. Life just isn't that simple! You need more than a formula.
Here's the key: God's will for your life begins with a friendship. God is far more interested in having you establish a relationship with him than he is interested in having you follow a set of rules.
First and foremost, God wants you to get to know him, like he already knows you. Once this relationship is established everything else—career, family, goals, recreation, ambitions, finances, health and friendships—will begin to fall into their proper place.
